Been home over a week now, and things are back to routine. Today I finally found the contents of my wallet I had 'hidden' ... oops. Did too good a job.

Newfoundland.
All the descriptors you hear are true: it's a wild and rugged place, but so full of colour and so peaceful, including the people who were some of the kindest, friendliest I've ever met. The food was delicious and I gained 5 pounds, even with all the hikes we did. Two weeks was not enough time; I'd love to go back.
Not sure how to go about posting photos from the trip -- so many. Andi, how do you do it?! And every time I go into the catalogue, I find new favourites.
Here are some that stood out today. Not in any particular order, other than colour I guess.

I'll get organized and post more with some description over the next few weeks.
Beautiful. I loved Newfoundland. I loved taking pictures of her too. Gorgeous part of Canada.
ReplyDeleteThanks Boomergirl! We've got a beautiful country to explore, don't we. :)
DeleteThanks for posting these. I loved seeing them (and not to be an ingrate but .. MORE! I WANT MORE). The color of the butterfly is amazing and the sunset in the window is really nifty.
ReplyDeleteI try to pick out a nice representation of the trip and keep posting them until I'm tired of doing it. (Here's hoping you've got great stamina.)
Hi Andi. That's a good way to go about it. I was thinking of going day by day, but got overwhelmed when I realized that no matter how many photos, they just don't seem to do it justice. I've got more... and lots of clouds for Friday cloud posts too. :)
DeleteKeep posting them Candis, they're beautiful! I lived in NL for 5 years but it was back during the time when I had moved out of photography, something I regret now. I have always wanted to go back and see if it is as beautiful as I remember. You have proven - it is!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Scott! That's wonderful that you lived there ... I could happily live there, it's so beautiful and peaceful (well, not counting the winds, ha!). The first time I visited the east coast was before I owned a camera (didn't even own one). I think about the photos I could have taken then too. Ah well.
DeleteI see from your posts that you're back in Bermuda! Love seeing the colours, how vibrant and green/blue etc. everything is. Hope you're enjoying yourself!
i love how you combined some of these by colour :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Caitlin! Newfoundland is so colourful ... just so pretty.
